A Review By Carolyn Dews
This young adult book is set in the future where the land is mainly dry and barren.
Twins Saba and Lugh live with their Pa and younger sister Emmi. They have to make do with what they can find. Their mother passed away while giving birth to Emmi. Saba adores her twin but finds her younger sister annoying.
One terrible day some strange men arrive killing the father and kidnapping Lugh. Saba promises she will come and find him wherever he is taken.
Saba sets of on her journey taking Emmi to relative safety but will she stay put? Saba meets some interesting people and travels across different landscapes.
I found this book exciting. It would appeal to the readers of ‘The Hunger Games’ and ‘The Maze Runner’.
