A Review by Keith Smith
Sex, drugs and rock’n'roll amidst the ivory towers of academia….what it’s like to leave home and find a whole new world waiting – one tht is frequently cruel to the unwary and inexperienced. ‘Begins as a diary of three friends going to college…arrives at an unexpectdly dark place. Bad boys and worse girls!’
Yes, a fair summary from the publisher. I must say I enjoyed this book although it does give a very jaundiced view of life at University. Parents should worry if life is really like this! Short chapters, pacy, interesting, good bedtime reading. The original was in Welsh, so it’s nice to see a translated book doing well. Good on the peculiar Welshness of being in Aberystwyth and this adds to the distinctiveness.
