A Review By Ruth Hunter, BookTime Editor, Bertrams
I’ve long believed that reading a ‘bad’ book can be just as enjoyable as reading a ‘good’ one. This is backed up by this extremely funny volume from comedian Robin Ince, in which he highlights some of the more unusual books he’s found in charity shops for under £3. From the frankly alarming The Secrets Of Picking Up Sexy Girls, to the autobiography of John Major’s brother, to a book which poses the question What Would Jesus Eat?, all genres are covered. Ince has a genuine affection for these tomes, and this perfect for those who enjoy The Diagram Prize, but want to know a little more than just the titles of esoteric literature.
