Bookshop day 2025 -

join us for a celebration of bookshops!

From 10am, Saturday 11th of October.

Bookshop Day gives us the opportunity to celebrate all that Bookshops, Authors and Books bring to our lives and we hope you will join us for the celebrations!

This year we will celebrate female writers, we are lucky enough to count some as Bookshop friends. We've invited three local female authors, the brilliant Susan Fletcher (The Night in Question), Ania Bas (Odd Hours) and Caroline Lea (Love, Sex and Frankenstein)to curate our bookshelves with a selection of books by other female authors that they have loved reading!

Susan, Caroline and Ania will be with us for the morning to chat about their own books and make recommendations from the shelves.

Bookshelves will be bursting with brilliant women authors and titles including Fifteen Wild Decembers by Karen Powell, The Sunshine Man by Emma Stonex, The Eights - Joanna Miller and All Fours by Miranda July.

We will also be running a competition – hunt the golden ticket to win a full year of Libro Audiobooks. Libro are the perfect place to find audiobooks if you don’t want to spend with Amazon, and would rather support your local bookshop!
